Frequently, email messages from companies who send out a lot of messages on a regular basis like most if not all mystery shopping companies do, get sent to recipients' junk mail, bulk mail or spam boxes by mistake. Email service providers, like Yahoo! and Gmail, have formulas which attempt to predict who is sending out spam (based on sender's volume) and what constitutes spam (based on the content of the message).
Since valid messages from mystery shopping companies are typically sent out in bulk and often contain words or phrases like shop, shopper, pays, bonus and now available, the likelihood that messages from those companies will be relegated to your junk mail without you knowing is high. As a result, you might miss out on a great shopping opportunity!
To keep this from happening, check your Junk, Bulk or Spam folders in your email account frequently (don't just delete the contents without reviewing) and add the email addresses of the schedulers and mystery companies you deal with regularly to your Contacts list and/or Safe Senders List. Below are some helpful links to information about popular email clients and spam mangement.
